About this Case Study

GDPR has highlighted our difficult and sometimes contradictory relationship with commercial email subscriptions. We will take a look at the whole journey that users follow to try to understand the complex relationships behind this apparently simple medium. We'll also learn about a framework that can help us evaluate how users decide whether to sign up to an email newsletter.

About the Speaker

AJ works as a UX researcher at Adestra in Oxford, where he arrived 3 years ago from sunny Spain. Through his 20+ year career, he has worked on most facets of web and mobile technologies - from visual design, to development, usability and accessibility consultancy, design research and UX. Both at work and out of it, his main passion is learning new things in a hands-on way and sharing knowledge and experiences with others.
